From the beginning, the Cellar Wine Bar and Grill was a "Neighbourhood Spot". Life does go in circles, because the opportunity came to sell the property in Bedford and in the meantime the original location became free again. & focus on the Bedford Cellar. The Cellar closed it's doors after 20 years, because owners Cathy & Philip Levangie wanted to work a little less, so the decision was made to close the Halifax location. Our pastas have always been the top sellers. Over the years, the menu evolved, but still stayed close to its original mandate to be a Mediterranean based menu. The first 20 years of operations proved to be that neighbourhood, where a diverse group of regulars came to relax & enjoy the ambiance, local spot, each other's company and the food. A casual, comfortable spot, where the food & service is important. So, the original Cellar has re-opened with a refreshed look and a menu very close to what it was, but with a few updates & additions; just like we never left.
